01Problem
The client already used the Frenglish plugin for EN-CA and FR-CA, but needed EN-US as a custom implementation while keeping it reachable from the existing language switcher.
02Solution
Built the EN-US experience outside the plugin's standard language-page flow, then connected it to the switcher with custom redirects and rewrite rules. Implemented URL behaviour across the site, including author and blog pages, so the EN-US state produced the matching EN-US URLs. Also built the EN-US cookie/state logic and a dedicated EN-US header.
03Result
Visitors can choose EN-US from the normal Frenglish language switcher and land in a dedicated EN-US experience, with the localized URL structure kept consistent across the site, including author and blog pages.
